Music in a Post-Pandemic Classroom

Help me give my students musical instruments that can be easily cleaned and shared in a post-Covid 19 music classroom.

My Students

My music program serves approximately 850 students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade.

Music is something that reaches every single child in our school, regardless of their background or ability level.

I like to think of my music classroom as somewhere my students can come to escape the stresses of the day and just have 45 minutes where they are free to make music and try new things.

My Project

During this time, there are a lot of questions about what schools will look like in the fall. Many of us have even more questions about how to provide a quality music education to a full student population without being able to use many of the tools we rely on.

In a reality of uncertainty, it's important for me to provide my kids with routine and stability in the music room, continuing the wonderful learning we've done throughout this past year.

The purchase of these plastic instruments would be a massive step forward in being able to continue teaching my wonderful children! Both the rhythm sticks and the egg shakers are plastic and can be sanitized quickly and effectively between classes while providing the kids with hands on musical tools.
