This project is fully funded

I am a special needs teacher in a low-income public school in a high-need neighborhood in San Francisco. I teach grades 3-5, and I teach guitar to students as a volunteer mentor teacher through Little Kids Rock.

After taking a year off from the program due to an unsupportive work environment, I have come to a new school and these kids love music. There is a group of kids that come to my classroom at recess to play the guitar and piano in my room, and to learn new songs.

Due to this interest and my new positive teaching environment, I am excited to bring Little Kids Rock into the school. This would provide an opportunity to get free weekly lessons from a teacher volunteer (me).

If you are not familiar with Little Kids Rock, please check them out online. You can learn about the program there. If you choose to donate, you can be sure that there will be some very enthusiastic young rockers who will get an opportunity to shine at school assemblies. I look forward to sending pictures of the smiles that I know your donation would put on these kids' faces.
