This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a high-poverty neighborhood with a very diverse range of home structures: nuclear, single-parent, foster, and migrant, to name a few.

My students love to be at school and enjoy learning, especially when the activities are hands-on.

Many of my students are English language learners who attend a public school in the South Central Los Angeles area. They are always excited to experience any kind of technology that I'm able to bring to my class.

My Project

My students love music and P.E. They suggested playing music every time they do P.E., and I thought it was a great idea. My students will use the portable Bluetooth speaker inside and outside. It will add to our presence outside and encourage them through music. Our indoor space is small, and we need to go outside to work on different fitness and sports-based skills. This portable Bluetooth speaker will give the students even more motivation to keep moving when we are outside. The Samsung Galaxy Tab will have the music to connect with the wireless speaker. Samsung has music apps such as Pandora. Through the use of music, I can motivate the kids and keep them on track with the activities we are doing.
