New school, but no music instruments.
I teach music at an elementary school. I teach about 450 students in one week. My school is new and has bright children, but not enough musical resources to help them shine.
Our county built a new school, yet did not provide instructional materials (instruments) for the music class. Last year we did a lot of singing. I do not want the children to miss this important part of their development and curriculum.
I need 30 colored xylopipes to give the students a visual for learning the musical scale. This is a fundamental for them. The xylopipes give them a resource for hands-on learning while they are hearing the results. This also helps the Kindergarten children develop their hand-eye coordination.
Your help will get my students back on curriculum before it's too late to catch them up. This one class set of instruments can get them connected to the musical world tightly...so tightly that they continue with it until college. Statistics show that music is the number one drop-out prevention. Your donation could provide this resource for years to come and could possibly keep a child in school.
