Music and Mental Health - An iPad Can Help

Help me give my students this iPad to allow them to use a variety of musical activities as a coping mechanism and SEL strategies, as well as to further their musical skills.

My Project

My students live in an urban environment. They listen to music and dance every chance they get. They absolutely love creating and composing. However, they are limited by their access to technology.

A disproportionate number of my students require additional supports to meet their socio-emotional needs.

Your gift of this iPad would be another, much needed, support. In addition to typical music opportunities that this iPad would provide my students, it would also give my students that use music as an outlet a portable and semi-private way for them to get the support they need.

Music is such a powerful expressive tool. My students are wonderful and eager learners. They just need a little more support.
