Help me give my students engaging math games for my 6th grade students at a Title I school. These games will help students build essential math skills, boost confidence, and make learning fun through hands-on, interactive practice.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a 6th grade math teacher at a Title I school, I see firsthand how many of my students struggle with confidence and engagement when it comes to math. Many of them come to class believing they "just aren’t good at math," and my goal is to change that mindset through hands-on, engaging activities that make learning fun and meaningful.
This project will provide a variety of math games and interactive resources that help students practice essential skills—like fractions, decimals, ratios, and problem-solving—in a way that feels like play rather than work.
These games will allow students to collaborate, think critically, and apply the concepts we’re learning in class in a low-stress, supportive environment.
When students are actively involved and having fun, they’re more likely to take risks, build confidence, and retain what they’ve learned. With your support, I can turn our classroom into a place where math is exciting, interactive, and empowering for every student.
