My Students
I have an amazing class of students. We spent 2nd grade together and are loving getting to grow together even more in 3rd grade. My students are artistic, creative, love to read, and love to learn and teach themselves new things.
We are a class of learners.
My class loves to spend time reading and learning everyday. They have a wide range of abilities and talents that makes coming to school everyday fun.
At our school, about 40% of our students receive free and reduced lunch. We have families who currently benefit from the Backpack Buddy program which provides students extra food for weekend meals at home.
My Project
It is so important for 3rd graders work towards math fluency. If students have mastery of multiplication facts before they move onto 4th grade, they will be more successful as math gets more complicated. This project will offer students a new and engaging way to practice basic multiplication facts, as well a way to get immediate feedback on accuracy. Many of my students appreciate the ability to move and sit in spaces different from a traditional desk. This project will also provide an alternative seating choice for students to make choices for their best learning to occur within our classroom.
