Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a classroom of 4th grade ELL/ESL students in a Title I community school. My students are 9 and 10 years old.
My students are very active and are hands-on learners.
They love to see and touch everything they are learning. These students work well in small groups to help each other learn the science and math standards. Every student in my class has different abilities that they share with others to help our classmates learn with us. We are truly a class of active learners.
My Project
In todays world it is so important for students to have their multiplication basic math facts mastered. Multiplication is the door that opens all other math concepts. Having these multiplication cards will allow my students to practice their basic multiplication facts at home, in the classroom and with families and friends making anywhere a potential learning area. These cards will strengthen their math skills, giving them an advantage as they continue learning. Students love learning together. Working with partners is proven to foster learning. This is another tool to help them learn together. I hope you agree.
