My Students
Each day our class begins math with mental math routines/work on white boards. The students practice the skills from the day before in addition to daily practice of multiplication facts. We do this to get our brains fired up and ready to work!
Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds and are all very different.
However, this is what keeps our day interesting and fun! Our class is fun, funny, and best of all: filled with silly kids. Our school is located in a high poverty, low income area, which sometimes has an impact on their motivation when in school. We work very hard each day to have a positive impact on their lives and to get them in the right direction. Each student is important and we want to see them succeed!
My Project
Students will be able to use these multiplication flash card sets on a daily basis. They can use them when completing math tasks and playing math games, as well as for simple fact practice. Students will have the option to use them personally or with a friend, since they will each have a set. These cards will allow for additional practice and overall improvement.
The sets of multiplication cards will improve our classroom by improving our students' knowledge and ability to complete math.
In addition, the students will gain confidence for completing math in the future and it will make math easier as well.
