This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager to learn and work hard. Many of them come from low income households where they don't get the same opportunities as other students in the bay area.
In 5th grade, math is hard, but when students lack foundational math skills the curriculum can feel insurmountable.
This project will give my students a tool to help them build the foundational skills they need to succeed.
These math multiplication boards will give my students a fun and engaging way to practice math facts. When they have automatcitiy in multiplication it makes 5th grade math accessible to them.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
