Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a community of 17 bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural dual language rockstars! This amazing group of students utilize Spanish and English at varying proficiency levels. All students contribute to our classroom community everyday in their own unique.

We represent the diversity of our unique neighborhood and city.

My elementary school is a Title I school with majority low-income students. Our students are socially, racially, and economically diverse. Almost 20% of our students are receiving special education services. Our students are committed to learning and growing, and successfully navigating a future with a global perspective.

My Project

Exploration is such an important part of our day! These hands on activities will provide fun and creative opportunities for vocabulary development in both languages that they can then practice through the use of these materials. They also lend themselves to real world connections which aid the growth of language.

Play is learning and learning is play!

Creating, thinking, building, rethinking and rebuilding is one of my favorite ways to get students excited about their learning. Experiences that keep them coming back make school feel like an exciting place to be!
