Multicultural Picture Books For 3rd Grade!

My Students

My third grade students are incredibly sweet individuals, who are all truly motivated to learn and explore the world around them. I currently have 24 students, and the majority of these children are emergent bilinguals developing English as a second language.

I want to provide them with the best classroom resources available.

They work so hard every single day, and a comfortable environment is critical for learning. With a brand new "modernized" classroom next year, there are some resources we desperately need to update our room!

My Project

My Title I 3rd grade students absolutely love to read. Going through my picture book library with them, they expressed a deep desire to have more picture books that represented the diversity in our classroom.

Many of our classroom picture books are old, torn, and lack the diversity required to accurately represent my wonderful students.

These third graders deserve to read a plethora of literature that reflects their lives, experiences, and dreams. It would mean the world to us if your donation contributed to updating our library. The third grade "banana slugs" absolutely love to read, and your support will help provide multicultural children's literature to the students who deserve to explore reading with love and enthusiasm.
