My Project

Adding the novel The Pearl That Broke Its Shell to my options for world literature reading will give my students a wonderful opportunity to learn about Afghanistan and the experiences of those around the world. This novel, featuring two female lead characters, will also give my students the chance to read a major text written by a female author, which is something lacking in the course.

I believe this novel will allow for interesting conversations, realizations, connections, and new opportunities for collaboration and learning in my classroom.

I am very excited to offer this novel to my students.
