This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful students are fifth graders at a Title One school in Homestead, Florida. Many students are underprivileged and families are unable to provide the basic supplies their child needs in order to succeed. Our students really struggle with reading and being a lover of books, I want to instill a love for reading in my students through novel studies. I am hoping to get class sets of novels to use throughout the year! Thank you so much for your time and generosity!

My Project

Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to not only view my page, but to support all teachers here on Donors Choose! Your generosity is so humbling. That being said, I really want to support multicultural education and support my students from all different background and cultures. I would love to get a class set of the book "I am Malala". I love literature, and I want to read books that are representative of different cultures. Novel studies are amazing and the students love them! Most students are from low-income families and are not able to purchase the necessary supplies for their children. As a single mom myself, I am unable to provide these for my students. Your generosity means the world to me. Thank you!
