Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will benefit from having a learning center filled with multicultural books that represent different ethnicities.
Our community is primarily Latino, and therefore many of my students have not been able to interact with people from different cultures.
My students will learn about other cultures with their friends by playing together during small groups. The children's hardcover books will allow me to read them different stories about children just like them. By listening to these stories, my students will gain pride in themselves and increase their understanding of others.
