Multicultural Crayons for Distance Learning

My Students

Our smart and engaging students are interested in expanded opportunities. They want to explore their ideas with hands-on projects that allow them to develop and solve problems in a way that reflects the nature of such context in real life. Our students only see possibilities in the world despite the many obstacles they face outside the classroom. Our students are bright, engaging, clever and believe in themselves. As their teacher, I am committed to providing them with unlimited opportunities to have fun.

My Project

Help me expand my students school supplies by giving them multicultural skin tone crayons. My students will receive a regular 8 pack of crayons but they are limited to 8 colors. When we finally return to school we will be working on a lot of social and emotional artwork. A lot of these projects involve my students drawing themselves and the people around them. This is going to be incredibly difficult with out these skin tone crayons. Children should be able to accurately portray themselves in their art. They should also see their skin is represented in the choices that are offered. There are enough crayon packs for all of my students to receive their own supplies. Allowing each student to have their own supplies will help keep us safe and limited the spread of germs. The supplies will also be able to go with the students if our school is closed or they opt for distance learning this school year.
