Help me give my students (multilingual students) books and stories that they can relate to which will help all students feel more inclusive.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Peters's classroom raised $304

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My multilingual students come from all over the world including Central America and Asia. These multicultural books will help my students see themselves in stories which will in turn help them feel accepted and appreciated in our diverse world.
For lesson planning, I will teach my multilingual students how to compare and contrast using a Venn Diagram as a visual graphic organizer.
As I read these multicultural books to my students, we will stop intermittently to assess comprehension and complete the graphic organizer to better help them understand similarities and differences between cultures.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
