My Students

Aren't all the colors of the world beautiful? My students are destined for great things in this world. I want them to feel valued in their culture and their heritage.

My students come from a variety of racial/ethnic backgrounds.

We live in a rural area of Minnesota. They come from a wide range of family backgrounds, some poor and some wealthy. Some have extended family for support and some do not have any relatives close by.

My Project

Wouldn't it be wonderful if when you were drawing yourself, you could have a more accurate color for your skin tone? My students sometimes struggle with making "white", "peach", "brown" or "black" work. That's because they just don't always work.

It takes so little being able to have a colored pencil, a marker or colored paper that is your skin color.

These art supplies will make a huge impact on my students!
