This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work at a high-needs, high-priority middle school. As COVID relief funding is ending for education, and the district is tightening its belt, the first thing to get cut at the school level are the materials budgets.
More than half of the students at my school enter needing extensive tier 3 intervention--often these students need to be engaged through multi-sensory avenues in order to stick with the regular daily practice needed in both online and offline reading intervention platforms.
Your donation will help, not only my students, but all students at my middle school to have headphones in order to access auditory reading intervention platforms, as well as self-regulation sensory stickers on all Chromebooks in all ELA classrooms. Additionally, we are asking for funding to help motivate students in their offline reading practice with cute baby animal bookmarks.
