My students need visual presentations to help them access instruction more effectively. With a projector, they will also have the opportunity to present their ideas to a whole group in a more challenging and interesting way.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a Title 1 school that serves families in the low-income/high poverty group. I aim to provide my group of students in the Resource Specialist Program (RSP) activities that multi-sensory and keep them engaged in learning.
FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION:
My students are diagnosed with Specific Learning Disabilities, in the areas of Attention, Visual and/or Auditory Processing that impact their ability to access instruction without additional supports and accommodations. Creating a learning environment where targeted needs are met through differentiated and accommodated instruction is vital in helping my students overcome their disabilities, and become successful in the general education setting.
My Project
Incorporating technology into my instruction will assist my students in gaining greater access to the concepts they are learning. Modeling, scaffolding and other accommodations will be easily given to my students with special needs.
The most effective way to access instruction is to use the different learning modalities.
My students in the Resource Room learn best when lessons delivered orally are supplemented with detailed, interesting visuals. Furthermore, they remember lessons best when they are given the chance to demonstrate and explain it.
Having a projector will also facilitate oral language development through reporting, summarizing with pictures, or by explaining multi-step procedures in mathematics.
