My Students
The school I teach in is a diverse one. In my 8th grade science classroom, I have students from a wide array of both socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. One of the things that tie them together is their drive to explore the world around them.
I want to get a class set of multi headphone jacks so that students can explore webquests, simulations, videos and interactive media in a collaborative setting.
These are small hubcap looking objects that can allow up to six students to be involved in one activity on a computer or chromebook. I would only want them to work in 2's or 3's. This will allow the technology I have in my room to go even farther that is already does.
My Project
This project will make a difference in my class room and in my students lives because they need to have as much access to technology as possible. I envision using these multi headphone jacks in my class so that students can explore webquests, play simulations, and engage in multi media in a collaborative way. Ideally they will work together in groups of 2-4 to make this happen. I think sharing is an important characteristic to teach but I also am excited bout these headphone jacks because it will allow me to get the most out of the technology I have in my room.
