My Project
For this project, I would like to use a biography of Muhammad Ali as a lens through which my students and I can examine 20th century history. Ali's life will allow us to study such issues as Jim Crow segregation, mass incarceration, and the war in Vietnam.
Most importantly, Muhammad Ali's story is very inspirational and will surely resonate with my students.
This text will allow us to cover many issues related to racial justice and representation. Through reading the story of Muhammad Ali, my students will also be reading the story of America. Thank you for considering to support this project.
