Much Needed Supplies

My students need an electric pencil sharpener, a pack of disinfecting wipes, 30 pre-sharpened pencils, a tub of jumbo sidewalk chalk, a tape dispenser, a box of staples, and toner for our classroom printer.

My Students

Wouldn't you rather learn with materials? I believe my students do too, that is why I am asking for supplies for our learning centers. I am asking for printer ink, pencils and a pencil sharpener.

They are first grade students at a high performing Chicago Public School.

The students come from all over the city and are from all different socioeconomic backgrounds. We are considered to be one of the best in the city and yet we really need regular supplies.

My Project

I am asking for an electric pencil sharpener, a pack of disinfecting wipes, 30 pre-sharpened pencils, a tub of jumbo sidewalk chalk, a tape dispenser, a box of staples, and toner for our classroom printer. I will be able to expand the learning experience and keep all students engaged with these basic items. Students will use pencils and the pencil sharpener everyday as they complete writing and math assignments. The tape dispenser and staples supplies will enable students to keep their work together. the tub of colored chalk will make learning fun using diverse methods of instruction. These needed supplies will help students practice skills in all subject areas. It is beneficial for students to have an organized room with supplies that allow them to move and to be in charge of their own learning. The possibilities are endless with these everyday supplies. Once I receive these materials, I will be able to work in a clean space with my students and have regular supplies like pencils and ink for our printer.

The educational supplies for my centers will encourage learning in all subject areas and allow my students to move around in a clean environment.

They will also help kids who don't have regular supplies.
