This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Third graders rock! This is such a fun age to inspire their creative and imaginative brains because they want to learn especially since we are back together in the classroom.
Our district has limited funds to provide supplies for our classrooms.
The majority of my students come from low-income households. We are a Title I school, which means all students are served free breakfast and lunch. Despite financial challenges, my students come to school ready to learn and are always giving their best.
My Project
The school supplies I am requesting will enhance my student's learning because these are supplies that are not provided by our school site. For example, we need 2 sets of folders; one for their take-home and homework papers and the other to keep their papers organized on their desk. Inside their take-home folder, the zipper pouch will be used to keep their tools for completing homework. The dry erase markers are so very much needed because we need fine tips. The fine tip makes creating number lines on their whiteboard so much easier. A small group collection of Dr. Martin Luther King will enhance our language arts unit and they will be able to take an AR quiz too. Lastly, the Breathing Ball will be used daily to help calm and bring mindfulness after recess and or needed breaks. These supplies will be so graciously appreciated!
