This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the group of smartest little learners in my entire school!
They come from different backgrounds; some ride the bus in from far away neighborhoods, some live across the street, we are a blended Special Education and Bilingual classroom within a school that is 90%+ free and reduced priced lunch.
Pre-kindergarten is one of the most important grades in school. It is the time when students get hooked into education. The best way to hook them in is with adapted materials that will allow them to learn in an individualized way.
My Project
My students love the library; it's an awesome center where they can be transported to different places by reading books, playing with puppets, and listening to stories on tape. This project asks for donations to purchase two shorter bookshelves and enough cubbies to organize library by genre.
My students need a shorter, easier to access bookshelf with clear cubbies.
The shorter shelves will keep all books at above or below student eye level. The clear cubbies will help students choose and organize books in independently.
These items will make a loved center, a rock star among ESL and special needs students.
