This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their strength, kindness, and determination to succeed, no matter the challenges they face. Many of my students come from low-income households and carry burdens far beyond their years, yet they show up every day ready to learn and grow. They inspire me with their resilience and remind me why I chose to be an educator.

The snacks and hygiene items I’ve requested are more than just supplies—they’re a way to meet my students’ basic needs so they can focus on learning.

When students are hungry or feel insecure about their hygiene, it becomes incredibly difficult for them to concentrate in class or feel confident among their peers. By providing these essentials, I’m helping to remove barriers to success, promote a sense of dignity, and create a classroom where all students feel safe, valued, and ready to thrive.
