Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am very excited to embark on this new journey as an educator, the most important reason being I have the privilege to change lives and break systematic norms. As a new teacher there are some essentials/ supplies that I will need in order to make my classroom a better learning and safe environment for my students. I’ve also included some things I believe would make my experience as a teacher more competent. I have included a printer, so I am able to foster a more memerorable and engaging experience. With a printer I am able to efficiently improve retention and recall. I also thought it was necessary to include snacks I think my kids would enjoy because it fosters a welcoming learning environment and gives students the energy to learn. One of my favorite things on my list is the book about anxiety. I really want to have that resource for my children because they are teenagers and they are experiencing changes and emotions within themselves that they've never experienced before- so I want them to not only have me as a resource but the book as well. I am really excited to start this new adventure and I look forward to creating a safe environment to build with my students.
