Help me give my students an educational experience that offers multiple mediums of learning and expression with alternative seating that will allow more comfort to read and learn away from their desks!
My students are both curious and adventurous and my classroom can tend to color outside the lines. I hope to give them the space to explore our world, reflect on their findings, and express them with as many modalities as possible. Whether it be painting, writing, song, or sculpture, it’s a big goal for me to help them find their voice.
Flexible seating options are very important for me to offer, especially during extended reading times and even math work sessions.
We held math circles last year on yoga mats, which was good, but I think floor cushions and a cozy rug would make it a whole lot better. Having enough paper, paint and paintbrushes for every student will also help give an equal opportunity for each of my students.
