Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items that take part in my project will help sustain a classroom of 15 students with disabilities. It is my first classroom experience and my goal is to create a welcoming environment so that my students will be able to learn the content while incorporating mental and physical breaks, along with responsibilities of keeping our classroom clean.
My goal and top priority is to ensure all the students feel heard and that I am scaffolding the material to their learning style.
Adding manipulatives and fidgets will help ensure focus during class time and reduce distractions. The signs and flyers will serve as a gateway of knowledge and an everyday reminder of what constitutes good mental health.
