Help me give my students a cuter, friendlier classroom! With both math-related posters and some nice new bulletin board decorations, this project will make my classroom more welcoming and comfortable.

My Project

Many of my students are nervous about their math classes, but a well-decorated, inviting classroom helps them feel more at ease. I have spent a lot of time this past summer putting careful thought into what information my students need quick access to, and so I have hand-created a number of posters about classroom expectations, advice for when they're stuck, and details about what we are learning each class. Now, it's time to put those posters up and make them look nice!

Even at the high school level, Anchor Charts help students become self-reliant, confident, independent learners.

I've included some math-specific posters in this project which will be especially helpful to my Diverse Learners and Multilingual students. These posters detail some tricky aspects of the language of math: "invisible math" that is omitted by convention, and vocabulary often used in word problems and what operations and ideas they correspond to.

I have also included some decorations in this project to help spruce up the bulletin boards and windows where the informational posters will be displayed. This décor will help the information feel less sterile and will draw students attention, encouraging them to read! The bulletin boards I already have are decorated with nature themes, so the sunflower and lemon decorations will fit right in! Finally, I threw in a set of cute stickers to give out to students as prizes for in-class games and similar events.
