This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During Covid, many of my students didn't get a chance to put their hands on authentic literature. Even though I read aloud to them, their reading skills decreased because they didn't have a chance to read on their own.
With this Donor's Choose project, now my students will have leveled books they can read, and multiple copies of books in which they can participate in literature circles with other readers at their level. This opportunity is bound to help spark the love of reading again, and give them various chances to build their reading proficiency.
This classroom project was brought to life by Arizona Department of Education.
