My Project
Hello! I’m so excited to begin my first year as a middle school English Language Arts teacher. Teaching has been a dream of mine for years, and I’m beyond grateful to finally step into the classroom and create a space where students feel supported, inspired, and excited to learn.
As a new teacher, I’m starting from scratch when it comes to classroom materials.
The items on this list are true essential things like organizational tools, basic supplies, and resources that will help me build a structured, welcoming environment where my students can thrive. The following materials will be available to students to use for projects in class: paper trimmer, construction paper, craft kit, paint, brushes, trays, glue sticks, scissors, storage caddies, and brush cleaner. These materials are essential office basics that will help students in day-to-day work and protect their health: hand sanitizer, pencil sharpener, pencils, loose paper, Expo markers, Expo cleaner, squishy toys, 3-hole punch, disinfectant spray, Clorox wipes, and stapler. These materials will be used to guide lessons with the students: whiteboard clipboards, anchor chart, index cards, and monitor memo board. The board games will be used to explain ELA concepts, but also used for entertainment and reward after major milestones: Connect 4, Clue Board Game, and Battleship.
