Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In second grade, as a team, we have noticed how much more practice students need with number sense and fluency. I will be using the math flashcards to help my students gain more confidence in themselves and in the work that they do. I need an area to pull students for reading intervention. That being said, I need a desk and chair to be able to work one on one with students to help improve their individual reading literacy. In second grade, we start learning how to use dictionaries. With that, and the literature books we read, students can carefully take the time to find words they don't know and to then define it for themselves with their own personal mini notebooks. Giving them more wonder into the words that we see each day. My goal for this project is to gain more tools to help cater to each and every student's needs. Which will help to create a caring community. My students are special because they can overcome every obstacle. Though with these tools, I can do more to help each student when they are going through a tough time with certain subjects.
