My Project
Last year was my first year as an 8th grade Humanities teacher and advisor at JQUS. I was super lucky to be amongst students who were open-minded, patient, respectful and ready to learn. The biggest struggle we had during the year was keeping focus. Many students would struggle to keep up with the lesson because they were hungry or tired of being lectured all day. Throughout the year, I did my best to make sure I had snacks, incorporated movement activities into lessons, and practiced communicating emotions. This will be my second year as an 8th grade teacher and my first year as the 8th Grade team lead. I am super excited to meet new students and try new ways to implement lesson plans.
