This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a variety of items like a Physical Education Parachute, games, pens, and glue sticks for my students to use in the classroom to improve their behavior and academics. My students attend a therapeutic day program in Bridgeport, Ct. The program is based on a token economy. At the end of each school day my students can earn a 15-minute activity periods where they get to choose an activity that motivates them. I worked on this particular project with my students to see what they wanted to earn at the end of the day. My students reported they enjoy board games, arts and crafts, beading and friendship bracelet making. These items will help support our therapeutic day program and token economy.
