Help me give my students materials to explore engineering and architecture concepts through my requested hands-on activities!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Kristy's classroom raised $246

My Students
My group will consist of seventeen, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed preschoolers this upcoming school year 2021/2022. I currently have students who have dilapidated or unsatisfactory housing, are homeless, have severe trauma in their backgrounds, and have developmental delays. These children come from diverse households that include single parent, divorced, LGBT, foster, and multi-generational families. To receive an education at my center, the family must fall below the federal poverty guidelines.
The STEM materials I am asking for will foster a love in my students for incredible future possibilities in the areas of science, engineering, and math!
My Project
The materials I am requesting focus on the concepts associated with STEM. These items will allow my students to develop critical thinking skills, improve problem-solving, learn to work collaboratively, and begin to understand concepts of cause and affect.
The preschool years are the perfect time to lay the foundation of STEM concepts with these fun, inventive, and creative materials!
The items will be used in small groups and large groups and as peer partner activities that focus on architecture and engineering. These materials will allow learning to continue for years to come in my classroom. Thank you in advance for your consideration of funding this project!
