My Project

Teaching in an urban environment presents unique challenges, particularly concerning racial injustice and equity. My commitment to addressing these issues involves creating an inclusive and supportive classroom culture where all voices are heard and valued. By incorporating diverse resources that reflect my students’ identities and experiences, I aim to cultivate a learning environment that not only acknowledges systemic inequities but also empowers students to challenge and change them. What I Love About My Students: I am deeply inspired by my students’ resilience, creativity, and passion for learning. Each day, they bring their unique backgrounds and experiences into the classroom, enriching our learning community. Their enthusiasm for knowledge, despite the challenges they face, motivates me to provide them with the best educational opportunities possible.
