My Students
My class room is a special education biology resource classroom. The students in my classroom are all hands-on creative learners. They are eager to learn about biology. Most students in my special education classroom learn by visuals and games. They love to be interactive and work in groups. This helps with social skills as well as biology content. The students at our high school are BEYOND respectful and caring. They both support and challenge each other every day.
My Project
Most of the students in my classroom need to be interactive with their learning. As a special education teacher, I do my best to make sure the kids are active and having fun while also learning biology! These science games, models and visuals will help students who are struggling with vocabulary and content in class.
Taking notes and watching videos only does so much for my students with special needs.
My kiddos need to be enjoying science by connecting the content to real-life experiences. This is done with games, nature walks and hands-on labs when they can see the vocabulary come to life.
