This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This is my first year at our school and I would like to begin supporting the students with any supplies and learning material that I can assist with. The neighborhood is low income and many of our families have been affected financially by COVID-19. Some have lost employment and are in need of food items along with school supplies and clothing. I would also like to assist our classroom teachers with technology if possible. They are so hard working and dedicated to our students and new laptops would help them engage even more in their classrooms.
My Project
The laminating machine will be used for teachers and class projects. The supplies such as folders will be used for classwork and homework information for parents. The hand sanitizer will assist the students and teachers stay safe and healthy. The snacks will be used to feed our students for incentives and testing.
We are trying to improve attendance, honor roll and assessments and these items will surely motivate the students to do well.
We are also testing our ESL and GT students at this time and the snacks with be used for those days as well. Thank you!
