Hello! I am a first-year teacher and one of my biggest goals for this year is to build a reading corner. I have a small library in my classroom that is full of different types of books (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoirs, etc.), and would like to provide my students with a space where they can relax and read these books.
I believe this is beneficial to students because school is often stressful and busy.
Students need a place where they can feel safe and comfortable (when we are not actively working in class).
