My Project
In Mark Twain, our music enrichment classes will have the exciting opportunity to learn a new instrument and understand the basics of music. Without ukuleles and supplies to put in their hands, most of these students would never otherwise get this opportunity! This may open doors for a long life, passion or even career in a field that is so overlooked and underfunded in the education system: music. Piano pedals and an adjustable piano bench will allow for players and accompanists in my orchestra pieces to play with a good sound and with good posture. Have a well-equipped rehearsal space is key to developing a student's musicianship. Without the proper tools to make a good sound, they would feel disheartened or uninterested in whatever music they are taking on, but having quality sounding rehearsals will motivate students to continue to practice and love their instruments, leading to successful concerts and overall learning!!
