Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom this year is full of wonderful 4-5-year-old students who all have diverse learning needs. Many of my students require accommodations in the classroom that will help provide them with a safe and supportive learning environment. We can make that possible by providing them with sensory and adaptive items that will help them remain comfortable and engaged throughout the day.

The products that I have selected such as scoop chairs and flexible chair bands will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices.

Other items such as chewie necklaces, weighted blankets, and soundproof ear muffs will help my students with their sensory needs in the classroom environment.

Being in a blended classroom allows my students with special needs to interact and socialize with their peers but at times that can get loud and uncomfortable for them. By having these sensory items, they will be able to self-calm and remain relaxed in an overstimulating environment. I hope that with your help, we can make a wonderful school year for all of these young and thriving preschoolers.
