This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As any teacher will do when given a directive that makes access for our students more difficult, I am planning to pivot and find a solution. My classroom is centered around my students' success, and, without tangible resources, this becomes no easy task.
Our district has just made the decision to keep laptops in the classroom.
For our school, this means most students will not have access to technology at home. My classroom has no place to house laptops in an organized manner which could make access during class time chaotic.
Students learn through modeling, processing, and collaboration, and this project will maintain routine and facilitate their growth. The items on my wish list will increase engagement, ease classroom organization, and optimize understanding.
