The computer cart is needed because Chromebooks are breaking due to them being stacked on top of each other because we have no storage organization. My Project
Hello Everyone! My name is Ms. Collier, aka Ms. C. I am a 24 year old teacher going into my second year of teaching. I work at a Title 1 Charter school, so our budget is very tight and the majority of our families do not have the means for donation. Throughout this year, my students and I have faced some obstacles with organization of our shared classroom items, and their personal items as well. We have broken 7 Chromebooks due to not having an adequate storage space for them. We share Chromebooks with another class. Between the kiddos having to carry them around, charge them on the floor, and them being stacked on top of each other when not in use, it has been extremely difficult to keep them safe. My students do their very best to be respectful of materials, so I know if we had the correct storage and transportation that would resolve this issue.
Another organization issue is my students personal belongings.
I am requesting notebooks so my students can take notes on what we learn. I am also requesting folders so they can organize their papers by subject, rather than shoving them in their desk.
At my school, we have many kiddos who have IEP's or 504's that state they can use items like wiggle chairs or fidgets to help them focus in class to get the same learning experience as everyone else. I wish I could buy each and everyone of them what they need however, with a few wiggle options accessible to them, it is a good start to help them focus.
