My Project

My kindergarten students are in need of social skill building activities. This is done through cooperative play. I have picked out games and stem bin activities that can be played with an adult or as a small group of students. They will practice taking turns and working with others to meet a common goal. I start most days in the classroom with stem bins so the students can work on those skills of sharing and taking turns first thing in the morning. Some activities I've picked will first need to be taught by the teacher while others are more free play based. And of course if we are going to play a game sitting around the teacher's small group table, then we will need a set of stools so everyone can reach the game in the middle of the table!
