My Project

Supplies are essential in a 1st grade special education classroom because they provide the tools needed to create an engaging, supportive, and accessible learning environment for all students. Many children in special education benefit from hands-on activities, visual aids, and sensory tools to help them understand and retain new concepts. Basic supplies like crayons, scissors, and glue, as well as adaptive tools like fidget items, textured materials, and communication boards, allow for differentiated instruction that meets each student's unique needs. These resources not only support academic learning but also help build fine motor skills, social-emotional development, and independence—critical areas of growth at this early age. Having the right supplies empowers both students and teachers to succeed together.
