This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important." -Bill Gates. Ms. Cooper's Troopers need iPads as tools to improve in all academic areas through the use of apps.

Ms. Cooper's Troopers are one of a kind.

They come from a low-income area; however, they do not let that define them. They are bright, joyful, and a pleasure to teach. My school is building on a solid foundation. We are trying to give our students the high education they deserve with very little resources.

My Project

My Troopers will use iPad minis to explore various apps. There are a few apps that I would love to incorporate into my classroom. One of my favorites is "Spelling City" because I love the convenience of practicing their weekly word study words using this app. Spelling and vocabulary make up a large portion of the first grade curriculum.

iPad minis will improve my classroom because we do not have such luxuries.

With only four class computers, these three iPads could also serve as computers. They will give my students the opportunity to further their learning through technology.
