My Project
I am a middle school ELA teacher at a neighborhood K-8 elementary school located in southern north Philly. I work with 7th and 8th-grade students. As with most schools, my students are on multiple academic levels, and my job is to teach them new material while reminding them about past material that they learned.
My students are creative, kind, and funny.
They want to understand the material. The curriculum that we are using is hard for them to understand, and they cannot follow. I want to give them all the resources that they need to understand everything I need to teach. I want to give them the opportunity to expand their horizons in all areas of life.
My students will use these ink and markers for their poetry projects in which they will compose nine different types of poems and display them creatively.
