My Project
I work in a diverse, inner-city school with students of all different needs. Many struggle with reading and writing so it’s important to have a classroom that makes the students feel safe and comfortable in order to unlock their true potential. Supplies like paper and notebooks will allow students to have access to an interactive reader's notebook and learn how to take notes by hand, instead of just being on the computers all the time. Cleaning supplies will allow my students a clean environment to help them stay healthy and in school every day. Adding a variety of leveled books will be a great addition for the students who have a desire to read and grow their abilities, but are not quite at the same level as their classmates. These supplies will help keep students engaged, included, healthy, and happy as they grow their literacy skills. These kids are so special and deserve to learn in a safe environment.
