My Project

The future is in STEM! I am the educator of 5th grade students who are experiencing on of the most unsettling events of their academic lives. Fifth grade is one of the most pivotal years that these students will ever have. This is the school year where they are actually switching classes for each core subject; the first year where science is a stand alone core class and the curriculum that comes with it. It is also the first school year where they will be required to contend with benchmark assessments in science as well as an end of grade assessment dealing with only science. I am asking for help with procuring resources that can allow these future STEM leaders to actually experience Science as a super engaging as well as interactive class that they will enjoy and engage while learning that science is a class that can be fun as well insightful! The aprons requested will give the students the "feel" of being actual scientists and help them to understand the need for personal protective equipment in the lab. The classrroom materials such as the scientific lab sets and spring scales will allow the students the opportunity to work with lab equipment in completing the experiements in the classroom using the Scientific Method. These materials along with the index cards and markers will give the students the opportunity to take notes and collect data "professionally.
